The FRIDAY WRAP for July 6th, 2018

Hello and welcome again to the Friday Wrap for July 6th…I hope you had an incredible and patriotic 4thof July!  This week’s Friday Wrap may as well be called a Half-a-Wrap since we are on vacation this week…and I don’t have as much to report.  (We even closed the SAM office in honor of the USA.) But, here’s the short story:

Concerts-on-the-Green:
The high temperatures may have made it hot-hot-hot, but CADILLAC GROOVE still performed in front of a crowd of people who stretched all the way to the fire-pit!  We thank King Bruwaert for sponsoring the evening and bringing along dozens of their senior residents to enjoy the show.  Luckily Stix & Stones made their PLUSH HORSE ICE CREAM available and both Cooper’s Hawk and Hampton Social had some cold specialties, too, to cool things off a bit!  As you may already know, there is no concert tonight.

Boy Scouts Troop 69 Hosts PANCAKE BREAKFAST!
The Pleasantdale Park District building at Walker Park was almost packed for four hours on July 4th as their Patriotic Pancake Breakfast saw record crowds…again!  We had the pleasure of seeing Len Ruzak and his family and taking pics with Scoutmaster Robert Fierke and Michelle Mikke-Van Der Stuyf…who have been helping organize this event for years!!

SAVE-THE-DATE…for St. Jude’s Hospital Event: July 22nd
